I'm Jana — a swiss creative with a love for photography, beautiful spaces, good stories and the feeling of discovering somewhere new.

My background started in architecture and interior design before leading me into communication design and, eventually, photography. Somewhere along the way, I realised that photography was the way I naturally wanted to tell stories — by noticing the details, the atmosphere and the moments that often go unnoticed.

I split my time between Switzerland and Portugal, which has probably shaped my work more than anything else. I love the contrast between the mountains and the ocean, the familiar and the unknown, and the different ways people create a sense of home.

I’m drawn to things that feel lived-in rather than perfect, thoughtful rather than over-styled. I like when a photograph leaves a little room for imagination — when you can almost feel the warmth of the sun, hear the waves or imagine yourself sitting at that table.

That’s what I try to bring into my work: not just a beautiful image, but a sense of being there.

studio.kii is my creative space — a place where photography, video and visual storytelling come together.

I created it for brands, retreats, hotels and places that have a feeling behind them. The kind of places I would want to discover myself, and the kind of brands whose stories I genuinely want to tell.

For me, creating content isn't about making something look perfect. It's about capturing something that feels real, thoughtful and worth remembering.
